Currently, the maternity Leave system and child care leave system are executed in order to prevent female workers walking out on the labor market and support the side by side engagement in work and home life. Though the number of applicants has been gradually increased since the maternity Leave system was executed, there have been difficulties in utilizing it as interest between enterprises and laborers is different. The purpose of this study is to present a plan for activating the maternity Leave system through the analysis of employeesattitudes toward the activation of the maternity Leave system.
As a result of the analysis of employees attitudes for activating the maternity Leave system, it has been found out that employees attitudes differed in accordance with their marriage statuses, and that in order to activate the system, enterprise environment and culture that permit employees to apply freely should be created. As a result of the evaluation of the improvement plan wi th respect to the child care leave system in consideration of degrees of importance, it has been recognized that appropriate substitute personnel supply and support, inhibition of disadvantage in personnel management, and enhancement of the governments labor supervision and of punishment of law violations are very important.
Based on the results of the above analysis, the following plan for activation of the maternity Leave system is presented.
In order to activate the maternity Leave system, compatibility of work and home life and equality between genders should be established. For this, we should strengthen the publicity and education of this system to positively change enterprise environment and culture. Also, the supporting policy for promotion of substitute personnel and female worker employment should be carried out. In addition, the governments administration and supervision should be enhanced to obviate disadvantage and law violation in the execution of the system.
